2nd of two Beje Clark escapees captured

Mason City Police were called to Beje Clark at 10:51 a.m. on January 25th to report that 23-year-old Jeffery Alan Morrison had ran from the facility into the nearby woods.

A warrant for Morrison’s arrest was issued, according to the incident report.

The next incident report on the Mason City Police log came in nine minutes later to report 39-year-old Jamie Alan Roggeman was absent from custody.

Mason City Police later located Roggeman at 120 Federal Ave North in Mason City about eight hours later and transported to the Cerro Gordo County Jail. Roggerman is still in the sheriff’s custody on one count of absence from custody, and two probation violations pending further court proceedings.

Incident reports show at 11:38 am Monday, January 30th, Mason City Police located Jeffery Morrison at the Mercy Medical Centers North Iowa Campus. Morrison was transported to the Cerro Gordo County Jail and booked in a class d felony count of escape of a felon.

Court records show Morrison was sentenced to Beje Clark in November of 2011 after violating probation in a Mitchell County 3rd degree Burglary case. Morrison is being held on a $5,000 cash a surety bond pending a preliminary hearing scheduled in Cerro Gordo County on February 10th at 8:30am.

What good are places like Beje Clark? Does anyone placed there ever stay put? It seems like all the police do is waste their time chasing down escapees from that place. Maybe whoever decides who should be housed there needs to make some tougher decisions.

Why do these idiots continue to think that they can run away from this facility like all of it will disappear if they aren’t there? They take off and increase their charges. Do their brains just not work at all?

I think I’ll grow a cute little goatee, so I can be a super cool POS loser with no future.
