Iowa Men’s Track team claimed the Big 10 title at the 2011 Big Ten Championships, Sunday, May 15, 2011, at Cretzmeyer Track, in Iowa City, Iowa. It is their first title since 1967.
Iowa held only a half-point lead over Minnesota heading into the meet’s final event, the 4×400 relay. Iowa got second, beating Minnesota by less than a second, to pass the Gophers in the team standings and take the title.
