Carol Hagg, 83 of Algona, passed away Friday, August 23, 2024, at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines. Carol’s family will be hosting a Celebration of Life at Water’s Edge Nature Center at Smith Lake in Algona on Sunday, September 8, 2024, from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM. There will be a service officiated by Rev. Ben Dose starting at 1:00 PM. Services have been entrusted to Lentz Funeral Home of Algona. http://www.lentzfuneralhome.com

Carol Sharon Hagg, the daughter of Carl G. Johnson and Hermina (Gerdis), was born on October 29, 1940, in Ledyard, Iowa. On March 30, 1962, she was united in marriage to Franklin Hagg in Winnebago, Minnesota. Carol finished her schooling in 1965. She was employed by Electronic Specialty as a secretary.

Carol was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Algona and the Walleye Club from 1996-2002. She enjoyed spending precious time with granddaughters, family, and friends as well as cooking, fishing, hunting with Frank.

Left to cherish Carol’s memory are her husband of 62 years: Franklin Hagg of Algona; son: Tim (Therese) Hagg of Des Moines; granddaughters: Rachel Hagg of Sidney, Australia and Jenny Hagg of Des Moines; brother: Alan Johnson of Fairmont, Minnesota; sisters: Elaine Patterson of Whittemore and Marion Ziegler of Winnebago, Minnesota and many nieces and nephews.
