CHARLES CITY – Police reported that a recent auto accident in Charles City resulted in thousands of dollars in damage and injuries to persons involved.
On June 21, 2023, at 2:23 PM, the Charles City police department responded to an accident on South Grand Avenue and Holland Court area. Police say a white 2008 Chevy Colorado operated by 26-year-old Jeffrey Zimmerman of Nashua was on South Grand Avenue when a 2020 GMC Sierra operated by 21-year-old Jace Snyder was northbound on South Grand Avenue and attempted to turn west into a business drive when the vehicles collided.
As a result of the collision, minor injuries were reported at the scene. Police say the total damage was estimated at $12,000.
Jace Snyder was cited for failure to yield on left turn and faces over $200 in fines and court fees.
