Bob was born to Wayne and Marilyn (Wilson) Ingersoll on November 22, 1962 in Charles City Iowa.

He worked at Godfathers Pizza, Culligan, County Care Home, and then worked (sometimes, other times he was taking naps) for himself at Ingersoll Water Conditioning for 37 years. He also opened Mind’s Eye Music in 2017. Bob was involved with Bash on the Farm for many years, and attended Hanford Community Church for over 30 years (napping occasionally there as well).

He graduated from Mason City High School in 1981 and married Kay (Scholl) in 1985, and together had three children. His job to them was answering questions on how to fix things, meaning all their houses are going to fall apart without him.

He played guitar and bass in quite a few different bands, and loved joining a jam session wherever he could. Bob loved cooking, and being in competition with his brother Tim, ultimately, everyone else won because there was so much food. Much to the dismay of Kay, Bob went camping whenever weather allowed. He loved being outside, biking, kayaking, and playing guitar anywhere he went. On road trips he made someone else drive so that he could play guitar, when he did have to drive, he had drumsticks handy so that he could drum along to the radio.

Everyone that knew him, knew that they could depend on him for whatever they needed. He spent many hours on the phone with his family and friends. Bob was generous, loving, and kindhearted. Bob was dedicated to his faith in God, and was eager to talk to anyone willing to listen about Christianity (or water softening, or music…). He could be counted on to be honest, he will be missed by everyone that had the honor to know him.

Those left to cherish memories of Bob are his wife, Kay; his, children Hannah, Isaac, and Leah (Sixto Valencia) Ingersoll; siblings, Frank, Sue, Rose (Ron Jacobson), David, Jim (Char) Ingersoll, Karin Middleton, Lori (Ty) Enderson and Darla Ingersoll; siblings in-law, Diane Bork, Ron (Jan) Scholl, Linda Kennedy, Bonnie Olson, Karen Hoeft, Rick (Tammy) Scholl; as well as many other extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Marilyn Ingersoll; sister, Bonnie Sowers, brother, Tim Ingersoll; father and mother in-law Richard and Hazel Scholl, sister in-laws Sandy (Lloyd) Ingersoll, Pam Scholl, Becky Scholl, and brother in-law Melvin Kennedy.
