MASON CITY – State Senator Amanda Ragan of Mason City says she “will work to rebuild Iowa, boost education, and invest in rural Iowa.”

According to a statement from senator Ragan this week, she says “Iowans have been through a great deal during the pandemic and it isn’t over yet,” Ragan said. “I want to make sure the Legislature is doing all it can to help. We want Iowa’s economy to come back bigger, stronger and better than ever.”

Ragan represents Ackley, Alexander, Allison, Aredale, Bradford, Bristow, Burchinal, Chapin, Clarksville, Clear Lake, Coulter, Dows, Dumont, Geneva, Greene, Hampton, Hansell, Kesley, Latimer, Mason City, Meservey, Popejoy, Rockwell, Sheffield, Swaledale, Thornton, and Ventura in the Iowa Senate.

She will serve as the ranking member of the Health and Human Services Budget Subcommittee. She also is a member of the Agriculture Committee, Appropriations Committee, Human Resources Committee, Rules Committee, and the Veterans Affairs Committee.

“The Legislature’s recovery efforts must include a focus on rural Iowa,” said Ragan. “Investments in high-speed broadband and affordable housing will help make sure Iowa’s recovery includes Iowa’s smaller communities.”
Constituents can reach Senator Ragan at the Statehouse at (515) 281-3371, at home at (641) 424-0874, or at her state email address: Amanda.Ragan@legis.iowa.gov.

Senator Ragan invites constituents to follow her on Facebook and to subscribe to her weekly email newsletter. She also plans to host regular local listening posts virtually, and in person when it is safe to do so. There is a very simple way to boost education. Give all students the teacher’s edition of the text book. That is how I learned geometry.

did you need geometry to be a greeter at wal mart.
