gunNEW YORK, May 7 (UPI) — Jewish groups are criticizing conservative commentator Glenn Beck for likening New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg to a Nazi during a speech to the NRA.

While addressing the NRA’s annual conference last weekend in Houston as its keynote speaker, Beck said he had come up with a new marketing advertisement for New York to replace the “I heart New York” logo that has been around since the 1970s.

“I’d like to show you my new advertisement for it, new slogan …,” he said. “‘You will love New York!'”

He then revealed a picture of Bloomberg, who has spearheaded efforts to ban assault rifles and institute background checks on all sales, appearing to give the Nazi salute while wearing a Nazi armband, ABC News reported Tuesday.

“Glenn Beck, the keynote speaker at the NRA’s annual convention, trivializes the Holocaust when he compares New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg to Adolf Hitler,” B’nai B’rith said in calling for Beck’s apology.

Abraham Foxman, a Holocaust survivor and national director of the Anti-Defamation League, issued a similar rebuke.

“While he doesn’t say it, it seems Glenn Beck is implying through an image of Mayor Bloomberg in an apparent Hitlerian salute is that the mayor’s policies on gun ownership and other issues are turning New York city into a Nazi-like state,” Foxman said. “That suggestion is outrageous, insensitive and deeply offensive on so many levels.”

Beck hadn’t responded to the criticism, ABC said. Bloomberg, who is Jewish, declined to comment.

The jews will always find something to complain about. If they can’t find something, they will manufacture it. Whiny little crybabies who think the world owes them everything.

Six million less of them in the world. I would say that gives them rights to cry for a while.

@Anonymous-Just Saying doesn’t like the Jews for some reason. Always making negative comments about them. I would much rather have the Jews than the Muslims. At least they don’t want to kill us.

What about the American Indian, the White Man almost exterminated the whole race, wasn’t that a holocaust to… I have nothing against the Jewish people, to a certain extent they deserve everything they can get. But come on, do people really have to have a cow every time they hear the words, hitler, natzie, Jew, at the same time.

I agree with LVS on the muslims and the Jews.

When the 11 million + illegals that are here now and coming, we won’t be able to say anything, freedom of speech and freedom of expression will be no more.

I’ll say it….Bloomberg IS like the Nazi’s, so is Obama.

@My Voice- Good post. I agree with your comments. Bloomberg thinks he can buy the country and Obama thinks he already owns it.

Lol! You’re right!! HA.

I don’t see how holding up a picture of Dumburg trivializes the Holocaust, did he say that…Be careful what you do/say Glenn, them natzies will come back to haunt you.

Then you are admittedly a weak minded individual.

Wow, did you hit the nail on the head. That’s exactly what I think about people that come out of the woodwork and twist the meaning of something that’s trying to be said.

What is the Nazi party most known for? What was the point in showing Bloomberg in a Nazi pose?
