CLARKSVILLE, IOWA – A couple was arrested after a fight in Clarksville.
On May 17, 2020, the Clarksville Police department received several calls regarding a physical altercation happening near Dollar General. Upon officers arrival, Mitch Kelderman, age 27 of Clarksville, and Tricia Barfels, age 30 of Waterloo, were identified as the two fighting. After speaking with multiple witnesses, both Kelderman and Barfels were arrested and transported to the Butler County jail. Kelderman was charged with disorderly conduct, a simple misdemeanor. Barfels was charged with Possession of Prescription Drugs, a serious misdemeanor, and Disorderly Conduct, a simple misdemeanor.
The Clarksville Police were assisted by the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.
