MASON CITY – The City of Mason City announced they have free mulch available to deliver in 10-mile radius of town.
The City has free mulch available for residential use. The mulch is located in piles just north of the Mason City Dog Park (on Elm Drive north of 13th Street NE). Residents can either help themselves to the mulch or Street Division Staff can deliver. Deliveries will be made between 7 am – 3:30 pm Monday-Friday. Deliveries will be made to all residents in Mason City and extended to a 10 mile radius outside of Mason City (see attached map).
If interested in a mulch delivery, contact Street Division Supervisor Bob Berggren at (641) 420-1999 with the name, contact phone number, address and the location where mulch should be dumped. The delivery area will need to be accessible to a single axle dump truck. The City will not be responsible for damage to sod or lawns. If the dump site is too wet, staff will dump the mulch as close to the location as possible.
