MASON CITY – A Mason City woman was caught stealing at a downtown retailer and jailed.

Mason City police officers were dispatched on February 22 at about 9:37 PM to Dollar General, 305 North Federal Avenue, for a theft report. After an investigation, 27-year-old Kiesha Spring Dunigan was arrested on a charge of aggravated misdemeanor third-degree theft.

Dunigan was jailed until she posted $2,000 surety bond. She was guilty of fifth-degree theft back in 2014 after another arrest by Mason City police. She still owes Iowa courts the entire $408.00 balance of fines and court fees she was ordered to pay in that case.

  1. …if she had the money to post bond…why didn’t she just pay for the items she ended up stealing…oh yeah, I forgot…she’s stupid!

  2. If somebody owes fines and fees from a previous conviction then they should not let them post bond until they pay the fines
