HARRISON COUNTY — A 15-year-old Iowa teen died Wednesday morning after a pickup crashed at a high rate of speed on a remote Iowa roadway, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
The crash happened at approximately 9:08 a.m. on June 11, 2026, at 194th Street and Tama Trail in Harrison County.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, a 2010 Ford F-150 pickup was traveling north on Tama Trail when it went through the intersection with 194th Street, also known as F32, at a high rate of speed.
The pickup then struck an embankment north of the intersection.
The driver, a 15-year-old juvenile from Woodbine, died from injuries sustained in the crash, according to the patrol. The teen’s name was not released in the initial report.
The Iowa State Patrol report lists seatbelt use as “No.”
The teen was transported to the State Medical Examiner by Fouts Funeral. The pickup was towed by Arrow Towing.
The crash remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol. Trooper Cisneros investigated the crash, with assistance from other agencies, including the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office.
No other injuries were listed in the initial report.
