CERRO GORDO COUNTY – A truck and an SUV were involved this morning in an auto accident with possible injuries.
On June 21, 2023, at 7:50 AM, authorities received a report of an accident involving a semi and car at county road B20 and Mallard Avenue in rural Cerro Gordo county, outside Mason City. It was first reported that a person may have been injured.
At the scene, the cab of the semi appeared to be fully emerged into the trees directly north of B20. An SUV-style vehicle was facing east, one tire laying flat on its side under the vehicle and the driver side had some major damage, including a smashed windshield. Folks stood along the roadway explaining the incident to police and state troopers.
