City Hall in Mason City

City Hall in Mason City

To the Editor,

The upcoming special election for a seat on the city council will be a turning point for our city. Our community deserves someone who will continue the holistic healing and take us forward in a positive demeanor. Paul Adams fits that resume. I have witnessed Paul’s acumen in handling a variety of questions concerning our city and North Iowa in general. Paul has been engaged and active in the community long before his run for city council. His abilities, vision, and skills will benefit all citizens. Cast your vote for Paul Adams in the upcoming election on December 6th!

Phillip Sanchez
Mason City, Iowa

Weaver can still win as a write in candidate. With a low voter turnout anything is possible. Go max

Just voted for Paul Adams today. You don’t have to wait until December 6th to vote, head up to the courthouse and cast your vote for Mr. Adams.

Nice kid I’m sure. The point exactly, a kid. What does he REALLY know. Bookmeyer and clan will ruin his life. He may be from the area but not mason city…first clue. MC messed up yet AGAIN. There will be a time for him, this shouldn’t been it. For sure between the two he is the clear choice. Big big huge mistake , Weaver should be in the chair. I will write him in.

I have the same concern that Erik and Hickey will bully Adams until he becomes disfunctional and loses his way. It may serve to just make him tougher in the future if it doesn’t destroy him. He only has to put up with them for 11 months or so. Then we can get rid of them. Writing in Max is a waste of your vote. He is no longer running and is supporting Adams.

Just curious what Adams has done in MC? What organizations has he worked with. Has he volunteered his time. As Phil said he has been engaged and active in the community. I would like to know how?

What is very disturbing to me is the way the establishment has manipulated the election time to favor O’Brian. Having it at this time of year when people are busy with the holiday and then reducing the polling places to make it harder to vote is a sneaky trick. The Chamber will go full out getting their supporters to vote. Make sure you and all your friend get out and vote.

I have spoken to Paul and found him to be a very intelligent caring man who will listen to all the people (not just the Chamber) He has my vote.

What I noticed. Only Paul Adams letters of support are using NIT and Globe to get their thoughts out. Obrien supportors appear to only be using the Globe. And Obrien biggest and long winded supporter so far is his sister. I am reading support for Adams from a variety of people. I just refuse to Vote for a person that our Mayor supports. So I voted today. ADAMS

Remember that illiterate post O’Brien made? We need a councilperson who can read and write. O’Brien obviously can’t, even if wife does it for him. No reading, no comprehension, no brains.

The Max Weaver crowd supports Adams which the the number one reason to vote O’Brien.

I agree Phillip! Paul Adams would be the BETTER canidate to win this election. He is genuine to represent the citizens of MC. Unlike O’Brien who would settle for being a minion puppet!!!!
