The Board of Supervisors of Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, met in regular session pursuant to adjournment. Present: Chairman Casey Callanan, Supervisor Chris Watts and various members of the public. Absent: Vice Chairwoman Lori Meacham Ginapp.
Chairman Callanan called the meeting to order at
10:00 a.m.
Watts moved with Callanan seconding, to approve today’s agenda and minutes for the March 6, 2023 regular session. Motion passed.
Public comment session was held.
Watts moved with Callanan seconding, to approve the following payroll change:

Watts moved with Callanan seconding, to authorize the Board to sign final plans with the Iowa DOT, authorize the Chair to sign Iowa DOT Federal-aid Agreement, and authorize the Chair to sign Purchase Agreement and Temporary Construction Easement with Donald & Julie Caspers for Bridge Replacement N-1-A-12 on 160th Street (Project BROS-C017(35)—8J-17). Motion passed.
Watts moved with Callanan seconding, to authorize the Board to sign final plans and set letting date of April 17, 2023 at 10:05 a.m. for 235th Street Multi-Use Trail project. Motion passed.
Assistant County Engineer Arndt provided an update.
Chaiman Callanan opened the public hearing on Change of Zone for Lichty at 10:05.
Watts moved with Callanan seconding, to close the public hearing. Motion passed.
Watts moved with Callanan seconding, to adopt Resolution 2023-30, WHEREAS, the Cerro Gordo County Planning & Zoning Commission, after study, has recommended that the change of zoning classification of a certain area hereinafter described, upon the application of Tim L. Lichty and Brad J. Lichty be made, and WHEREAS, the final public hearing has been held with notice as required by law. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Cerro Gordo County Board of Supervisors that Ordinance No. 15, Article 5.2, of the Zoning Ordinance of Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, is hereby amended by changing the district boundaries thereof so as to change the classification of the following described property from A-1 Agricultural District to the A-2 Agricultural Residence District on the following described real estate, to-wit:
Parcel A containing 2.00 acres located in the East One-Half (E1/2) of the Southwest Quarter (SW1/4) of Section 15, Township 96 North, Range 21 West of the 5th P.M., Cerro Gordo County, Iowa as described in the Plat of Survey dated January 30, 2023 and recorded on January 30, 2023 as Document No. 2023-457. Motion passed.
