Belmond man arrested for stealing necklace from Pure Pleasure store

MASON CITY – A Belmond man was taken to jail after trying to steal a necklace from an adult novelty store in Mason City.

Sunday morning after midnight, a Cerro Gordo county deputy responded to a report of a theft at Pure Pleasure, 10480 265th Street in rural Mason City. The deputy arrived and after an investigation, arrested 38-year-old Bradley James Gansen of Belmond. Allegedly, Gansen tried to steal a necklace valued at $9.99.

Gansen was taken to the county jail, charged with fifth-degree theft. He was soon released, pending a court date.
