MASON CITY – Even through the weather outside is still chilly, you can think Spring by taking advantage of pre-ordering geraniums for the 5th annual Mason City Friends of the Library geranium sale. Pre-orders are being accepted at the Mason City Public Library for beautiful 4″ geraniums in 6 different colors from Stillwater Nursery. Plan your flowerbeds and pots while the snow is on the ground, and you’ll be able to select just the colors you want.
Pre-orders for a minimum of 5 geranium plants are being accepted through March 31, and when you order 5 you get a sixth plant free. The pre-order geranium plants will be available for pick-up on Friday May 3 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Mason City Room at the Mason City Public Library, and a public sale will take place at Southbridge Mall on Saturday, May 4.
All proceeds from the geranium sale and from other Friends of the Library activities are used to support programs including summer reading and special music at the Mason City Public Library.
