LAURENS – A Jack Links warehouse in Northern Iowa is about to layoff dozens of employees, the jerky maker announced this week.
Jack Links, Inc., located at 210 North 1st Street in Laurens, Iowa, told the state of Iowa they are cutting 91 employees from their Jack Links Snacks Distribution Center. The details of the layoff were spelled out on Iowa’s WARN Notification List site.
Jack Links out of Wisconsin claims it is “America’s #1 Jerky Brand” and that they have “the Beef Jerky & Meat Snacks You Need to Help Power Through Life.”
Iowa has endured a number of layoffs in the food industry this this year, to go along with a debacle at a Charles City chicken processing plant.
