CLEAR LAKE – A two-car collision sent two people to Mercy Hospital Friday afternoon.
The Clear Lake Fire Department responded to a two vehicle collision Friday, April 22 at 1:16 PM, at the intersection of Grouse Ave and 210th Street, south of Clear Lake. On arrival, Clear Lake Fire found each vehicle was occupied by only the drivers, and one driver had to be extricated using hydraulic rescue tools. Both patients were transported to Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa by Mason City Fire Department ambulances with non-life threatening injuries. Their names were not released.
Clear Lake Fire was assisted by Mason City Fire Department, Cerro Gordo Sheriff’s Department, Iowa State Patrol, and Cerro Gordo County Maintenance Department.
