The following offender has escaped from a residential work release facility.  The offender was transferred to this facility after being granted a work release by the Iowa Board of Parole.  Work Release is a minimum security setting which allows offenders an opportunity to gradually adjust to the transition between prison and the community.

AGE: 24

SEX: Female

FACILITY: Des Moines Women’s Residential Correctional Center

OFFENSES: WILLFUL INJURY CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY; THEFT-1ST DEGREE

SENTENCE: Maximum term not to exceed 20 Years

COUNTY OF COMMITTMENT: Polk

EYES: Brown

HEIGHT: 5’5”

WEIGHT: 157 lbs.

DATE OF ESCAPE: October 21, 2012

COMMENTS: Joseph was placed on escape status at 1:45 am after she failed to return to the facility as scheduled.  Joseph was admitted to work release on April 9, 2012.  This sentence began on November 19, 2009. Information as to Joseph’s whereabouts should be reported to the Des Moines Police Department or Polk County Sheriff’s Department.
