NORTHWOOD – An errant driver led law enforcement to a drug bust in Northwood this past weekend.
The Worth county sheriff’s office says that on July 22, 2018 at approximately 8:18 PM, they responded to the Villa Woods Apartments #9 in Northwood for a report of a female operating an unlicensed motorcycle or scooter and nearly striking cars on the roadway. Upon investigation, it was determined Justin Lee was inside the residence and it was known to law enforcement that he had warrants out of Worth, Winnebago, Cerro Gordo, and Mitchell counties. Justin Lee was taken into custody on those warrants and further investigation led to a search warrant for the apartment. As a result of the warrant, brass knuckles, several items of drug paraphernalia, marijuana, scales, plastic baggies, hypothermic needles, and approximately 2 grams of methamphetamine were recovered from within the apartment.
As a result of the investigation, several individuals were charged and taken into custody. Justin Wayne Lee of Albert Lea was taken into custody on outstanding warrants, Theresa Mae Book of Northwood was taken into custody and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance-Second Offense, and Jamey Wayne Anderson of Albert Lea was taken into custody and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance- Second Offense, and Possession of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana Second Offense.
