Football continues to play a huge role in our lives despite the restrictions of the pandemic. The sport has become more important than ever, as we look to it for entertainment and comradery. Fortunately, we can still attend the games and cheer on our favourite teams. The next football event we’re excited about is the Northern Iowa Panthers versus South Dakota Coyotes, who are set to play in 9 days!

The upcoming game is less than 2 weeks away, so fans can begin to get excited about who’s going to win between Northern Iowa Panthers and South Dakota Coyotes. It’s an exciting game you won’t want to miss so make sure to buy your tickets online to this football game. Or you can get some friends over for beers and watch them play on TV. Where and When is the Game

The two teams are set to play against each other on Friday the 2nd of April in the DakotaDome  Vermillion, SD. Make sure to leave plenty of time to travel so that you’re not caught in traffic or can’t find a parking space. You can attend this event for as low as $57 if you’re okay with sitting in the upper levels. However, the best place to view the game is near the 50-yard line in the lower-level seating, which will be more expensive. The average price for this college football game is currently $60.

Get involved with Iowa sports by placing bets and attending the games in person. Remember that only clear bags and small purses are allowed into the event, so come prepared. The gates will open at least an hour before the scheduled kick-off, whereas premium or VIP ticket holders will be allowed access even earlier. You’ve got 9 days, so make sure to grab your tickets and enjoy the game.

Information About the Venue

DakotaDome is a big venue consisting of 10,000 seats and it’s situated in Vermillion. The capacity makes it a great place to go and experience football games in South Dakota. So, South Dakota Coyotes will be playing in their home stadium as it’s owned by the university there. It’s used for many events, not just football, so make sure to take a look at all the games you can get tickets for in the venue.

The venue is an iconic landmark of the region and has helped the South Dakota Coyotes rise through the ranks. This could put Northern Iowa Panthers at a disadvantage, as they will be playing an away game. If you’re a student here, then it’s definitely worth visiting a game in this grand venue. 

About the Teams

This will be a college football match with the South Dakota Coyotes’ team from the University of South Dakota and Northern Iowa Panthers from the University of Northern Iowa. Northern Iowa Panthers’ last game was against Missouri St where they lost 13-6 with their last win being against Illinois St.  Interestingly, South Dakota Coyotes’ last win was also against Illinois St. on the 27th of February.

The one to keep an eye on for Northern Iowa Panthers is Will McElvain, a great quarterback, who we’re hoping he’s still not side-lined due to COIVD.

The teams will be playing each other for the first time this year. Both play as part of the Missouri Valley Conference Football. The Northern Iowa Panthers have Will McElvain with 750 pass yds and South Dakota Coyotes have Carson Camp with 967 pass yds. They’re decent teams with a lot to play for, so we’re looking forwards to a good game.

The venue is home to South Dakota Coyotes, so they might play better than their opposition, as many say that playing on home grounds can help a team win. South Dakota Coyotes have two more games to play in April against South Dakota St. and W.Illinois. Northern Iowa Panthers have one more game against North Dakota St. So, there are still loads of games to attend if you miss this one!

There are games this weekend to keep you occupied until the 2nd of April. Northern Iowa Panthers are playing on Saturday the 27th of March against Western Illinois Leathernecks. On the same day, South Dakota Coyotes will be playing against ND State. These two games will be a good watch for you to get an idea of how they’ll play against one another in April.
