Information About the Venue

DakotaDome is a big venue consisting of 10,000 seats and it’s situated in Vermillion. The capacity makes it a great place to go and experience football games in South Dakota. So, South Dakota Coyotes will be playing in their home stadium as it’s owned by the university there. It’s used for many events, not just football, so make sure to take a look at all the games you can get tickets for in the venue.

The venue is an iconic landmark of the region and has helped the South Dakota Coyotes rise through the ranks. This could put Northern Iowa Panthers at a disadvantage, as they will be playing an away game. If you’re a student here, then it’s definitely worth visiting a game in this grand venue.

About the Teams

This will be a college football match with the South Dakota Coyotes’ team from the University of South Dakota and Northern Iowa Panthers from the University of Northern Iowa. Northern Iowa Panthers’ last game was against Missouri St where they lost 13-6 with their last win being against Illinois St.  Interestingly, South Dakota Coyotes’ last win was also against Illinois St. on the 27th of February.

Have a look at South Dakota Coyotes’ schedule to get a better understanding of who is likely to win on the 2nd of April. There are great players to watch in these teams. The one to keep an eye on for Northern Iowa Panthers is Will McElvain, a great quarterback, who we’re hoping he’s still not side-lined due to COIVD.

Team Comparison

The teams will be playing each other for the first time this year. Both play as part of the Missouri Valley Conference Football. The Northern Iowa Panthers have Will McElvain with 750 pass yds and South Dakota Coyotes have Carson Camp with 967 pass yds. They’re decent teams with a lot to play for, so we’re looking forwards to a good game.

The venue is home to South Dakota Coyotes, so they might play better than their opposition, as many say that playing on home grounds can help a team win. South Dakota Coyotes have two more games to play in April against South Dakota St. and W.Illinois. Northern Iowa Panthers have one more game against North Dakota St. So, there are still loads of games to attend if you miss this one!
