MASON CITY – A man held in the county jail awaiting a trip to prison struck an officer and met the wrong end of a taser.
The Cerro Gordo County Jail reports that Friday morning, at about 10:30 AM, inmate Frederick Joseph Olson, age 43 from Mason City, was charged with Assault On A Person In Certain Occupations after he charged at and struck a 38-year-old male correctional officer in the jail.
Jail staff used the taser weapon on Olson in order to subdue him.
The officer involved sustained minor injuries.
Back in 2013, Olson got into an argument with another inmate which led to a short fight.
“He broke a TV remote against the wall,” a jailer told NIT.
Olson was charged with assault and 5th degree criminal mischief in that incident.
He has a kid with his sister too.
How did you like that taser you loser! Hahaha!
