MASON CITY – The Mason City police department is seeking a man at this time for an alleged robbery.
The alleged crime took place on August 23 in northeast Mason City, police say. Valentine Flores, age 22, is accused of felony first degree robbery.
Police did not describe the incident nor mention anything about the victim.
If you know the whereabouts of Mr. Flores, please contact your local law enforcement agency.

I have a hard time believing that the police don’t know where he is. Just another example of our police department not doing their jobs.

Val’s mom works at dollar general downtown Mason City… If I were the cops, I’d be tailing her and making it known she was being tailed.. ya know she KNOWS where he is! If harboring a fugitive is a crime, start acting like it & enforce the law… Start arresting those who are guilty… eventually you’re apt to run in to him. keep applying pressure til someone buckles…

If he wasn’t released on probation, this wouldn’t have happened and apparently, the other boy would still be alive. Sad.
If someone dies as a result of a felony, isn’t it considered murder?
Key word here is “if”. Autopsy results aren’t back yet. So how can Flores be “guilty” of murder? I don’t have a pit bull in this dog fight. I just believe in innocent till found guilty by a jury and facts…Maybe if Whipple had been in church instead of running the streets with the gangbanger druggies he’d still be alive.
