MASON CITY – Police were called to a local trailer park after a violent domestic assault was reported late Friday evening.
Mason City police officers were dispatched to Gracious Estates, 777 Eisenhower Avenue, Friday night at about 9:16 PM for a physical domestic. When officers arrived, an investigation was conducted, and Shawn Allyn Sheldon, age 40, was arrested on multiple charges, including felony domestic abuse assault involving strangulation, enhanced felony domestic abuse assault, false imprisonment, and interference with official acts.
Sheldon is being held on no bond at this time until he goes before a judge.
