Mason City teen listed as missing refuses to come home

missingMASON CITY – A Mason City teen now listed as missing on the state’s missing persons website refuses to come home, police said Thursday morning.

Karl Karzin, age 16, was reported missing to the Mason City Police Department on July 9th. According to police, his mother reported that she had talked to him by phone but he refused to come home on the evening of July 8th.

“Karl is believed to be in Mason City area with friends but so far has been unwilling to come home,” police said.

Karl is 5’02” tall, 120 lbs., caucasian, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on Karl’s whereabouts should call Mason City police at 641-421-3636.
