BELMOND – A two-car accident caused by a slippery road claimed the life of a Belmond woman.
Tuesday morning, December 23 at just after 9 AM, twofers approached each other on county road R65 southeast of Belmond. Jeffrey Scott Jensen, age 54, was southbound in his 2003 Dodge Ram as Ann Marie Just, age 51, was driving northbound in her 200 Ford F-150. Her pickup dropped off onto the shoulder and she over-corrected and slid sideways upon re-entering the roadway. The vehicle then crossed the center line and was struck in the driver’s side door by Jensen’s vehicle.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts. They were both transported to area hospitals via ambulance. Just was later pronounced dead from the accident.
