DES MOINES – Serena Golwitzer of Forest City traveled to the Iowa Statehouse on Wednesday, January 22, to participate in Veterans Day on the Hill. Golwizter is a “Puppy Raiser” with the Puppy Jake Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping military veterans by providing them with highly trained service dogs. While at the Capitol, Golwitzer talked with State Senator Amanda Ragan, a member of the Senate Veterans Committee, about her hopes that Larry the Service Dog (left) will be helping an American veteran soon.
