MASON CITY – The Marketing Department of North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) has received three gold media awards from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) in its regional award competition. NCMPR is the only organization that exclusively represents marketing and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges.
NIACC received Gold Medallion Awards in these categories:
· Television Advertisement/PSA — The college created its own “Perfect Fit” television commercial that has been airing on local stations and at the Cinema West movie theaters for the past year.
· Government/ Community Relations Project — a pocket-sized Advocacy Tool Kit was created to include key facts about the College. The kit is used by NIACC board members, faculty and staff to help advocate for the College.
· College Annual Report — The NIACC Board and Foundation annual reports were included in a new 12-month calendar for 2013.
These entries will also be entered in the NCMPR national competition. Winners will be announced in March 2014.
