Man suspected of pulling off third bank robbery in Twin Cities area

investigateMINNEAPOLIS – A lone black male is being sought in connection to perhaps his third bank heist since November 19 in the Twin Cities area.

According to the FBI, on December 22, 2014, a lone black male entered a U.S. Bank branch located at 333 East Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at approximately 6:00 PM. The robber approached the victim teller and demanded cash while brandishing a handgun. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled from the bank on foot.

The robber was described as a black male, approximately 6’1” to 6’2” in height and weighing approximately 200 to 220 pounds. The robber was also described as being 45 to 50 years of age and having an athletic build. The robber was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a white baseball cap.

In addition to this robbery, the robber is believed to have committed the following robberies:

US Bank—333 East Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota on November 19, 2014
TCF Bank—3245 County Road 10, Brooklyn Center, Minnesota on December 11, 2014

The FBI is seeking assistance from the public in apprehending this suspect.
