MASON CITY – A Mason City woman was jailed early Saturday for drunk driving.
A Cerro Gordo deputy stopped a car driven by 26-year-old Cassie Marie Masters at about 2:13 AM for a traffic violation. After an investigation, the officer determined that Masters was intoxicated and placed her under arrest on a charge of operating while intoxicated, first offense.
Masters was taken to jail, where a breath alcohol test was administered by the arresting officer at 3:20 AM. Test results of 0.173 and 0.172 were returned on a female subject.
She later pleaded guilty and paid a fine.

Didn’t she recently get a new donated kidney, and she’s still drinking to this day. Way to appreciate that new kidney, and a slap in the face of the gal who donated it to her.

I work with a dude at curries and he drinks 24/7 so that means he must be drunk all the time correct? Anyone at curries knows this guy so you better watch out. Philly would you say he might be drunk impaired???
Did you check out the times? An hour passed before they did the breath alcohol test.
Is your fine/punishment more severe if you have a very high reading? If you tested at .09, would you get off a little easier? Anyone know?
@JMO-It really seems to depend on the cop. Some will give people a little break if they are marginal and are decent. Others just throw the book at them to make their arrest record look better.

So you’d rather turn yourself in after 2 drinks? Cuz by then you’re going to be approaching over the limit. Yes, it’s that easy. Preliminary Breath Testers should be available in every grocery store or department store for a reasonable price. The game of ‘cop busts social drinker’ has been played out for a long time now. Time to change the record.
If you are out there driving after 10:00 PM and have had two or more drinks over the night you are just asking to be pulled over. Even if you have done nothing wrong they will find a reason to stop you. It is now big money for the establishment.
