MASON CITY — Sarah Elizabeth (Gaffney) Novacek, 45, of Mason City, died peacefully Sunday, August 2, 2026, at her home, surrounded by the love of her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2026, in Mason City.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 6, at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third Street NE in Mason City.
Sarah was born July 22, 1981, and built a life centered upon her family, friendships and the people she cared for throughout the Mason City community.
She was remembered by those closest to her as a loving wife and devoted mother whose family remained at the heart of everything she did.
Sarah brought warmth, kindness and compassion to the people around her. Her caring nature also touched coworkers, patients and friends through her work in the local dental community.
Those who knew Sarah described her as much more than a coworker or acquaintance. She was a trusted friend whose welcoming personality, generosity and genuine concern for others left a lasting impression.
Her greatest joy came from time spent with her husband, children, relatives and friends. The love she shared with them will continue through the memories, traditions and everyday moments they created together.
Sarah’s death leaves a tremendous loss for her family and the many people whose lives were made brighter by her friendship and caring heart.
She will be remembered for the love she gave freely, the relationships she treasured and the lasting difference she made during her 45 years.
