FOSTORIA — Ronarae Arlene Riemenschneider, 51, of Fostoria, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Spencer Hospital, surrounded by her family and friends. She is remembered for her caring heart, creative talents and the deep love she shared with her family throughout her life.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. A time of remembrance will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family to honor Ronarae’s life.
Born Sept. 30, 1974, to Ronald J. Thompson and Doris Ann (Crosser) Macek, Ronarae moved to Iowa’s Great Lakes region as a young girl and graduated from Okoboji High School. The area remained home for much of her life and became the place where she built lasting friendships and cherished memories.
On Aug. 3, 2013, she married Andrew Frank Riemenschneider, and together they shared a life centered on family and making the most of every moment together.
Ronarae worked as a hairstylist before later serving as a paraeducator at Okoboji Community School District, where she enjoyed helping students and supporting those around her. Her warm personality and caring nature made a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Outside of work, Ronarae embraced life with enthusiasm. She found joy in crocheting, tending her garden, riding motorcycles, camping, traveling and curling up with a good book. Whether exploring new places or enjoying quiet moments at home, she appreciated life’s simple pleasures.
Above all, Ronarae treasured her family. Time spent with her husband, children and loved ones brought her the greatest happiness, and those closest to her will forever remember her kindness, strength and unwavering love.
Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched with her generous spirit, compassionate heart and the countless memories shared with family and friends.
