STAMFORD, Conn., Feb. 13 (UPI) — Steve Wilkos wasn’t seriously injured when he was smacked in the head with a metal bowl by fighting guests on his talk show in Stamford, Conn., TMZ reported.
The incident happened at a taping of a segment called, “My daughter tried to poison me,” this week.
Wilkos, 48, was hit above the eye and temporarily blinded but is now fine, TMZ said.
The bowl, a prop on the set of the show, was dented in the fracas and has since been nailed down, so it can’t be used as a weapon again, the celebrity news website said.
Wilkos was the former director of security of “The Jerry Springer Show” before becoming host of “The Steve Wilkos Show” in 2007.
