ST. ANSGAR – Persons were searching for a missing child Monday morning in this small Mitchell County town.
Deputy City Clark Donna Rachut confirmed at 10:25 AM that a 4 year-old boy had not appeared at his daycare at First Lutheran Church.
Search teams which included the Iowa State Patrol, St. Ansgar Fire Department personnel and other citizens were helping search for the child.
“He is found, thank goodness,” Donna said Monday morning.
“He may have wandered off, there wasn’t anything other than than, most likely,” a caller to NIT said Monday.

Proofreading is everyone’s friend.
When a child is missing in this day in age you may get a little crazy but every minute counts when you are looking just say’n
Wouldn’t ya look in the closet before calling the police, filing a missing persons report, and calling out all the authorities, worrying parents, etc.? Just sayin’…
that’s a relief, no tragedy today
