MASON CITY – A young lady visiting Mason City from Europe over the summer and serving as an intern at North Iowa Youth for Christ lost a passport last week and sought its return.
Now, she is celebrating its return.
Her supporters placed flyers near the area the passport was lost on the evening of August 28th and also contacted NorthIowaToday.com to help spread the word about the important, lost document and ask that it be returned.
Today, NIT has learned the item was recently found, placed in the mailbox at the home where the woman is staying until October.
The woman was praying for its return with other youngsters when she was told that the passport was returned.
I’m glad to see that she got her passport back, there are some good people out there. Maybe she will take away a better outlook of this city. Thank you to whoever returned it…
This shows that there are a lot of good people in Mason City, who believe in doing the right thing. This makes her life a lot easier when it comes time to return to Germany.

Good for her. She is lucky it didn’t end up in the trash.
