Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds enjoys governing.

DES MOINES – Today, Gov. Reynolds signed SF 192, a bill that increases per-student education funding by 3 percent, bringing general fund spending on K-12 education to $3.8 billion.

“This results in a $1.19 billion increase in K-12 education funding since 2012,” said Gov. Kim Reynolds. “This investment represents our commitment to an excellent education system for all Iowans.”

Last month in a letter to Iowans, Reynolds said, “I believe in Iowa’s public schools.”  She then signed a bill for funding over $7,000 per student who wants to take that money to a private school.
