MASON CITY – A wanted Mason City man was apprehended by police at a local grocery store this week.
Police caught up with Martin Luther Ross, age 20 of Mason City, at Hy-Vee West, 2400 4th Street SW, at about 7:15 PM Thursday. Ross was wanted for a second probation violation related to an earlier guilty plea to carrying a dangerous weapon (said to be brass knuckles).
Ross was also wanted for not showing up in court for an arraignment for a charge of possession of a controlled substance. He did not go quietly and was charged with interference with official acts.
He is being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail at this time on cash-only bonds of $2,000 and $1,000.
He was just looking for an 80 year old Caucasian man to play the “Knock Out” game with…
