North Iowa Republicans are seeking volunteers.

“We are door knocking for Gov. Romney this Saturday in the Mason City area and would love to have additional help from anyone that is interested,” a note from the Republican party stated.

“We will meet this Saturday, July 7, at 8:45 am at the Mason City public library. Time commitment will be about an hour and a half and we will have some Mitt gear, water, etc. for the volunteers.”

Gabe Haugland will be coordinating the effort.

Dems have plenty of liberal think tanks too. So what? Too bad sites like Breitbart, Drudge, Hot Air, and Red State are getting the word out to people past the MSM firewall. Uh oh!

“Arthur C. Brooks (born May 21, 1964, in Spokane, Wash.) is an American social scientist and musician. He is the president of the American Enterprise Institute, a conservative think tank.”

President of a conservative think tank…I doubt if I can believe much of anything he writes about as I’m sure he is like most conservative’s, so narrow minded that if they fell on a pin it would poke both their eyes out.

New York Times, Nicholas Kristof column talks about Arthur Brook’s book Who Really Cares and he found regarding percentage of income given, conservatives are more generous. Conservatives were also more generous than liberals in nonfinancial ways. People living in red states are considerably more likely to volunteer for good causes, and conservatives give blood more often. This stuff is easy to research. If you don’t mind I’d rather people read many sources than go by your subjective headcount at local organizations. By the way, how do you know if the volunteers are Dems? Do you ask them how they vote?

Politics is a very common topic of conversation at these places. Like I said before Rep give to charities for the tax break…Dems give because it is the right thing to do. Dems also give of their time and labor where as Rep give money (if a tax break is involved), but few seem to give of their time. Sorry, in this part of the US I know I’m right. Rep don’t seem to care about people in need(again, in less it benifits them somehow).

Maybe you missed the main point that the Democratic party is the party of money now. Go to Hot Air’s website and read today’s story on Obama’s Super PAC Mega Donors. So much to learn……shocking isn’t it? Quit misinforming people, it’s not helping anyone.

Studies show conservatives give more of their own money to charity than Democrats. Look it up. Democrats are more supportive of govt programs to help with charitable endeavors but that is using other people’s money.
Gooogle NY Times article by Christopher Caldwell called The State of Conservatism to see Democrat party is the party of Harvard and most of Ivy League, Hollywood, Manhattan, and Microsoft and Apple and most of Silicon Valley and the media. Investment banking gave a ton of money to the party last time. Of the 20 richest zip codes in American, 19 gave the bulk of the money to Democrats in last election. Read new book The New Leviathan. Huge tax-exempt organizations like Ford Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, and Carnegie were started by conservatives but are now running with liberal progressive ideas. So the party is backed by a near trillion dollar treasury and progressives outspend conservatives by a factor of 7 to 1. Try reading outside of the MSM, you are getting behind.

No where in this article are they talking about who gives the most money. They are looking for volunteers. That would be someone doing work for free. That just isn’t the republican way. I’m sure there are a few here and there that do some volunteer work. Stop in at the Food Bank, Community Kitchen, or Habitat for Humanity and see how many reps. you can find volunteering there. I don’t know off anyone that tracks volunteer hours by political party, but I would bet my house that it isn’t even close. Dems by at least 5 to 1 I would guess.

I almost forgot…Rep have a lot more money to give than Dems do. Rep. give so they can get a tax break. Dems give because they care.

I think it will be to hot to get the right wing out. Most have never volunteered to do anything. Now if you were paying them they would be all over it.

i cant believe some of them work minimum wage jobs…………. hahahhahahahah

You know, I think your a jerk for saying that.

May I help you with your spelling Babyboomer55? It should be you’re not your. You’re means you are. Your means ownership. Now I may be a jerk for correcting you, but not for my comments.
