MASON CITY – A Mason City man was arrested Wednesday afternoon.
Dean Richard Huse, 56, was apprehended in Mason City at the intersection of 13th Street SE and South Penn Avenue at about 2:15 p.m.
Mason City Police scoured the adjoining neighborhood and Elmwood Cemetery n search of Huse, who it was said had a baseball bat.
Huse is charged with violating a no-contact order in which online records state Huse committed domestic assault on January 8, 2012 and a weapon was involved. Huse was also recently arrested for public intoxication at the Cerro Gordo County Courthouse.
A charge of 2nd degree burglary was also added by police.
An Iowa State Patrol officer assisted at the scene.
SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.
