North Iowa Area Community College will offer a free program titled Federalism and the Constitution. This program will be held Friday, September 16 in Beem Center, Room 200, on the NIACC campus from 3:00- 5:00 p.m.
This free public forum will be facilitated by John Schmaltz, emeritus instructor at NIACC, and will commemorate Constitution Day which is held on September 17 of each year.
This year’s program will examine how the division of power between the national government and the state governments has evolved and changed since the Constitution went into effect in 1789.
NIACC’s presentation of this forum complies with the federal law requiring every school that receives federal funds to provide students with a program on the Constitution. This program will be the seventh offered to NIACC students and the public. Free copies of the Constitution will also be given out.
The Constitution Forum is offered through NIACC’s Lifelong Learning Institute. |
