LAKE PARK — Chanelle Gembler, a former Lake Park woman remembered for her humor, resilience and deep love for her daughter, has died at age 47.
Gembler, formerly of Lake Park and most recently of Spencer, passed away June 17, 2026.
She was born March 17, 1979, to Larry and Donna Gembler at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Spirit Lake. She was raised in Lake Park, where she built the relationships and values that remained important throughout her life.
Above all, Gembler was a devoted mother to her daughter, Brianna, who was the center of her world. Her love for Brianna was a defining part of her life, and family said she carried a lasting reminder of that bond with Brianna’s newborn footprints tattooed across her heart.
Those who knew Gembler remember her as someone with a bright sense of humor and an affectionate spirit. She enjoyed music, loved singing karaoke and often helped turn ordinary moments into memories filled with laughter.
She also enjoyed scrapbooking and preserving special moments. She took pride in keeping things neat, organized and comfortable, and she had a deep love for animals, especially dogs.
Her life was not without challenges, but Gembler continued moving forward with strength and love for the people closest to her. Her family now finds comfort in the memories she leaves behind and the peace they believe she has found.
Gembler is survived by her daughter, Brianna Gembler; her mother, Donna Gembler; her sister, Amber Dodds; her brothers, Jason Gembler and his wife, Julie, and Shon Gembler and his wife, Missy; nieces and nephews; extended family members; and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Gembler; her brother-in-law, Cole Dodds; her paternal grandparents, Howard and Helen Gembler; and her maternal grandparents, Marland and Myrna Wood.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Lake Park.
