The Cerro Gordo County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on April 27, 2026, with Chairman Casey Callanan, Vice Chairman Carl Ginapp, and Supervisor Chris Watts present. The board addressed several significant financial, infrastructure, and administrative items during the meeting.
Budget and Financial Approvals
FY 2026-2027 Budget: Following a public hearing, the board officially adopted Resolution 2026-23 to approve the county budget for the 2026/2027 fiscal year.
Fund Transfers: The board authorized the transfer of $1,400,000 from the Rural Services Fund to the Secondary Roads Fund. Additionally, $673,717 was transferred from the General Fund to the Public Health Fund.
Claims and Payroll: Today’s claims and the payroll register for the period ending April 18, 2026, were both approved unanimously.
Infrastructure and PlanningSecondary Roads Maintenance Facility: Resolution 2026-24 was adopted to set dates for a public hearing and bid letting for the Rockwell Secondary Roads Maintenance Facility project, specifically covering soils correction, grading, and utilities. Bids will be opened on May 26, 2026, with a final public hearing on plans and costs scheduled for June 1, 2026.
