Mike Massé to perform free concert and film “American Pie” video at the Historic Surf Ballroom

CLEAR LAKE - Internationally acclaimed YouTube artist Mike Massé, known for his powerful “epic acoustic classic rock,” will make his Iowa debut at the world-famous Surf Ballroom on Sunday, October 19th. The event will feature a free concert and the filming of Massé’s new music video for an acoustic cover of Don McLean’s legendary anthem, “American Pie.”

CLEAR LAKE – Internationally acclaimed YouTube artist Mike Massé, known for his powerful “epic acoustic classic rock,” will make his Iowa debut at the world-famous Surf Ballroom on Sunday, October 19th. The event will feature a free concert and the filming of Massé’s new music video for an acoustic cover of Don McLean’s legendary anthem, “American Pie.”

Massé (pictured at top) will be joined on stage by his longtime collaborators and fan favorites, Jeff Hall and Sterling Cottam, for this one-night-only performance. Doors open at 7:00 PM, with the show beginning at 7:30 PM.

The Surf Ballroom, forever etched in rock history as the final stage for Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and The Big Bopper on “The Day the Music Died,” is the perfect backdrop for Massé’s heartfelt tribute. The video shoot will capture both the performance and the audience, allowing fans to be a visible part of this historic project.

Admission is free, but seating is limited. Tickets are available now at surfballroom.com. By reserving a ticket, attendees grant permission for their likeness to appear in the final video.
