Judith Ann Papantonis, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025, at the age of 91.
Judy was born on December 2, 1933, and spent much of her life in Iowa, where she dedicated 26 years of service as the manager of the bookstore at North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC). Through her work, she supported generations of students and faculty, becoming a familiar and friendly face on campus. She married her loving husband, Tony Papantonis, and made their home in Westcliffe, Colorado, where they built a peaceful life on Lake DeWeiss in their cherished cabin. Judy and Tony were well loved in the Westcliffe community, where they frequently hosted friends and family — their door was always open, and their hospitality left lasting memories for all who visited.
Judy was preceded in her passing by her husband Tony Papantonis, sister Joan Watson, and an infant son, and is survived by her three children: Dave, Deb, and Patrick, sister: Pat Pierce, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to her life.
