Timothy S. Schmidt, 67, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2025 at the Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa in Mason City. Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest City.

Timothy S. Schmidt, 67, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2025 at the Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa in Mason City, Iowa.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 246 South Clark St., Forest City with Pastor Rod Hopp officiating. A gathering of family and friends will take place at the church an hour before the service.

Burial of cremains will be held in Oakland Cemetery in Forest City, Iowa.

Timothy S. Schmidt was born on September 25th, 1957 to Raymond and Virginia (Moen) Schmidt. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest City. He received his education in the Forest City Community Schools, graduating in 1976. He then went on to attend Luther College in Decorah, IA graduating in 1980.

After graduating from college, he worked for LaHarv Construction before going to the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City area to manage theaters for Central State Theater Corporation. In 1986 he went to Conyers, GA to be employed by his brother Dan at Conyers Honda. Later he was employed by Delta Management and Peachtree Software before joining Unisys where he remained until his retirement.

His main hobbies were skydiving, dirt bikes, and motorcycles. He logged 709 skydiving jumps during his lifetime!

His brother Jim extended his life 25 years by giving him a kidney in 1995.

He is survived by his mother, Virginia of Forest City; two brothers, James of West Des Moines, and Dan of Alachua, FL; two nieces, Holli and Lauren; two nephews, Dustin and Daniel; grandniece, Avery; two grandnephews, Lewis and Logan; and special friends, Sherri and Bruce Abbey.

Timothy was preceded in death by his father, Raymond.
