Jolene Ulayla (Bahr) Schmidtke, was born on April 3, 1940, to George and Lucille (Gillett) Bahr in Estherville, Iowa. She passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at the Good Samaritan Society of Estherville at the age of 84.
Jolene married Kenneth Dahl, and they had five children together: Tammy, Timothy, Troy, Todd, and Trudy. She later married Charles Schmidtke. His children: Chuck, Leanne, Scott, and Cindy rounded out their blended family.
Jolene is survived by her children Tammy Manwarren, Timothy Dahl, Troy Dahl, Todd Dahl, and Trudy (Gary) Manwarren; stepchildren Chuck Schmidtke, Leanne Schmidtke, Scott Schmidtke, and Cindy King. She celebrated having 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. She also left cherished memories with many nieces and nephews.
Jolene is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, daughter-in-law Sonya Dahl, sister Trudy Bisgard, brother Albert Bahr, and sister-in-law Marlene Bahr.
