Mason City Auto Sales on 18 N. Monroe had many things going on Saturday. “It’s kind of a Second Grand Opening but really it was a Big Sales Event,” said DaLayne Germundson, owner of the used car store.
Jared Allen (pictured), of 102.7 KYTC radio, was there broadcasting live from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Between Troy Levenhagen and Germundson, they kept Allen busy giving away free prizes by just driving into the lot saying a special code word.
Levenhagen, owner of Susie Q, and also known as “Levey the Great” was giving away many, many free Spic-n-Span Tenderloins and 3, $10 gift-cards for Susie Q. DaLayne was giving away a free lunch, $10 gas cards, t-shirts, hats, Rockwell Kicken & Chicken tickets, as well as had a drawing to give away Adventureland Tickets, Wisconson Dells Tickets and Twins Tickets.
Mason City Auto Sales sponsors Terrence Prochaska’s #20 Modified race car, and it was there for fans to take pictures of (see bottom). Kyle Germundson (pictured, left, with his race car), #69 Sports Mod car was there and Kyle was more than happy to have his picture taken beside it for anyone who asked.
People were enjoying the lunch, the prizes, the cars, the arcade and listening to Jared Allen broadcasting to the people of the North Iowa area.
“I want to say ‘thanks’ to all the people who stopped in and hope everyone had a good time,” said Germundson.

Should have tried to get a station with some support. Haven’t listened to 102.7 since they molested it. This must be the worst station in north Iowa and southern Minnesota to listen to. The AM squeal is more appealing than this station.
