Police raid house in Clarksville, find trove of dope

CLARKSVILLE, IOWA – Police raided a house in Clarksville and found a trove of dope in the residence.

The Clarksville Police Department says that on May 10, 2020, the their department executed a search warrant at 221 E Greene street in Clarksville. During the search officers located methamphetamine, marijuana, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia. The occupant of the resident, Blake Hartzell age 29 of Clarksville, was taken into custody and is charged with Possession of Marijuana 3rd or subsequent offense near certain real property – Class D Felony, Possession of Methamphetamine 3rd or sebsequent offense near certain real property – Class D Felony, and possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Simple Misdemeanor. The Clarksville Police Department was assisted by the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident remains under investigation and more charges are anticipated.
