Beverly Ann Perez was born March 15, 1935, in Ackley, daughter of Sweer and Loraine (Card) Hovenga. She attended school in Dumont. On February 20, 1953, Bev was united in marriage to Eluteiro “Sass” Perez at White Bear Lake, Minnesota. To this union, four sons were born.
Bev worked in housekeeping at the Hampton Hospital, Gold Key Motel and Jennings in Hampton for several years. She enjoyed walking down the railroad tracks in front of her house and working in her yard. Bev loved Halloween and looked forward to showing off her decorations every year. She was an incredible cook and loved to prepare large meals for her guests. If you left her house with an empty stomach, it was your own fault. Family was very important to Bev and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
