MARBLE ROCK, IA – The Marble Rock community is remembering Ronald “Ronnie” E. Schriever, a dedicated family man and award-winning salesman who passed away on April 30, 2026, at the age of 78.

An Iowa man who valued hard work and adventure, Ronald spent 60 years as an international pipe machinery salesman. His career was marked by significant achievements, including earning Salesman of the Year honors and traveling over 5 million miles by air. Even outside of work, he was an avid traveler who frequently visited the boundary waters and took his grandchildren on trips to New York and Colorado.

Born in Charles City, Ronald was a graduate of the Rudd-Rockford-Marble Rock school system. He married Bonnie Harris in 1964, and together they built a life focused on their three children and growing family. He was a familiar face at local events, rarely missing a sports game or activity involving his grandchildren.

In his downtime, he was a passionate supporter of the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Rockford Warriors. He was known for his approachable personality and his signature outlook on life: “it is what it is.” Whether he was playing baseball in an empty lot or sitting by a bonfire with his family, he found his greatest joy in life’s simple, shared moments.

He is survived by his children, Todd, Troy, and Rhonda; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Larry, Danny, and Nancy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie, and several siblings.
